Update 13/12/2018: Added Only The Strongest to the list. I listened to the first two episodes and I really liked the content. The topics are interesting and are discussed from a teacher perspective which makes it very relatable to me. I’ll definitely listen to the other episodes in the coming days.

Today I am sharing a list of podcasts and vlogs which are maintained by capoeiristas. If you don’t like to read or don’t have time to, then a podcast can be a great alternative to pick up new knowledge. I mainly use podcasts or downloaded vlogs to pass the time when commuting between home and work.

Not so long ago I discovered that there are actually some capoeira podcasts. Why didn’t I find this out sooner? Anyways, for me it was a new source of information and I liked the idea of listening to the stories and thoughts of other capoeiristas.

After listening to several episodes of each podcast/vlog, I think I prefer the channels of the Mestres. They mostly talk about one specific topic or idea and are often aimed at teachers, which is more interesting for me. Then there are a few channels created by “regular” capoeiristas. They discuss all sorts of things but I had the impression most episodes were about their local capoeira scene. For me, those episodes were less interesting because I am not part of that scene (literally living on the other side of the world).

Aside from my personal opinion, I think these people do great work and such projects are an important contribution to connect capoeiristas worldwide.
